Pest Control Qualifications | Description |
Safe use of Rodenticide | This is an entry level qualification and is achieved at the initial stage. Operators with this qualification should be supervised by a trained member of staff. |
Level 2 award in Pest Management | This is the basic qualification that all pest control technicians should achieve to carry out pest control treatments unsupervised. |
Level 3 award in pest management / Certificated Advanced Technician in pest management | This qualification requires 2 years of experience in pest management. To achieve this qualification the technician will have demonstrated their ability to identify a wide range of pest species, understanding of legislation, knowledge of pest biology. |
Certificated Field Biologist | This is an advanced qualification the pest control operator will have experience from working in a wide range of large and complex sites (e.g. food factories, supermarkets, warehouses). They will have provided a portfolio of detailed reports and been tested on advanced pest identification and pest management strategies. |
